This yogurt sponge cake is made with natural greek yogurt and sunflower or olive oil instead of butter for dense cake.   2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 3 eggs
  4. 3 cups flour
  5. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  6. 1 tablespoon sunflower oil or olive oil

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
  2. Grease or line a cake pan or loaf tin
  3. Place the yogurt, sugar, and eggs in a bowl and beat together well.
  4. Add the flour and baking powder and gently stir with a spatula until all the ingredients are completely blended.
  5. Add the oil and stir again with the spatula.
  6. Transfer to the cake pan and cook for 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
